Swiss Machining Services

Our Swiss machining capability allows us to provide customers with precision components at greatly reduced cycle times compared to traditional CNC turning. Swiss machining is particularly effective at higher volumes where the reduced labor costs can quickly overcome the upfront investment in dedicated tooling. An extensive inventory of existing tooling is readily available to further reduce or eliminate upfront tooling costs. Our Tsugami SS20 lathe is designed to shorten traditional set-up times which can make Swiss machining cost effective at lower quantities than expected. Machining capabilities include the ability to mill, drill, tap, face, and thread components up to 0.787" in diameter and 8.66" in length.
Precision Metal Machining, Inc. machines a wide variety of both standard and exotic materials and specialize in materials such as titanium, Custom 455 and 465 stainless steel alloys, and engineered plastics. Standard tolerances are typically ±0.005" with tighter tolerances of ±0.0002" held on a routine basis for customers in the medical, aerospace, military, and commercial manufacturing industries.
Many secondary finishing and assembly services are available to accommodate customer needs. These services include stainless steel passivation, heat treating, and part marking. We are ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certified as well as ITAR and FDA registered and hold ourselves to the stringent quality standards that ensure customers receive components and services that exceed expectations.
